Pasture Solutions
¨Are you providing sound nutrition for your animals? A good pasture requires more than a stout fence, and a horse can't thrive on weeds! Our agronomy team brings years of experience to the task of giving your livestock an excellent grazing pasture.¨
Pasture Solutions Plus turns ugly grassland into lush pastures
Want a flourishing pasture with a long life? Count on Pasture Solutions Plus, the pasture and rangeland division of Centra Sota Co-op, a local customer-owned company.
Our pasture specialists know how to devise optimal haying and rotational grazing plans and management practices for your pastures and rangeland. They'll show you how to create a weed-free pasture with high nutritional value.
Our Pasture Solutions Plus services include:
- Soil sampling and analysis
- Nutrient recommendations and application
- Varietal recommendations
- Reseeding or interseeding
- Scouting for weeds and weed control
We follow a simple timeline:
- Early spring is a good time to apply fertilizer and do some interseeding.
- May/June means it's time to spray for broadleaf weeds.
- August/September is the time to focus on weed control, fall fertilization, and more interseeding.
Request a pasture consultation
Make an appointment with us to determine what your pasture needs to begin producing lush, nutrient-rich grass or hay for your animals. We'll walk your land, take soil samples, examine the weed pressure, and discuss how you intend to use the forage produced on this acreage before making our recommendations.

Request a pasture consultation with an experienced agronomist.
We will:
- Evaluate your soil's ability to support your horses or other livestock. (We test for soil fertility and pH. If your grass isn't growing, we'll be able to tell you why.)
- Advise you on pasture care and forage selection. (We stock ten different forage mixes, selected to correspond with the nutritional plan outlined by your veterinarian.)
- Provide pasture rejuvenation services: tillage, seeding, inter-seeding, and fertilization. (You don't have to own the equipment. We'll do the work for you.)
