Spring Agronomy Update

May 15, 2020

Ben Jacobs, Crop Advisor at Centra Sota’s Coakto location shares some thoughts on Spring so far:

  1. Planting season has been almost a complete opposite of last year, planting 4-6 weeks ahead of last year and many farmers are done or close to it.
  2. Many areas are in need of rain to activate pre-emerge herbicides.
  3. Farmers can flag soybean fields to ID trait planted and take note of neighboring crops/traits.
  4. Corn and soybeans could have incurred frost damage during the latest freeze.
