What is Ag Careers Field Day?
Ag Careers Field Day is an event for students interested in learning about a career in agriculture! Join us to see some of the latest technology, hear from experts on a variety of topics, and have the opportunity to ask questions of those experts! You’ll also have an opportunity to meet with representatives from local colleges, enjoy an ice cream treat, and then cap off your day with a delicious lunch!

Interested in a career in agriculture or want to learn more about college options? Several colleges will be onsite for students to visit with. Enjoy a treat from the “What’s the Scoop” ice cream truck!
Midwest Machinery
Get an inside look at Midwest Machinery equipment, including John Deere self-driving tractors.
Root Pit: Agronomy 101
Adam Johnson, Centra Sota Crop Advisor, will guide students underground to view corn growth and learn about root development.
Drones
Todd Holland, Centra Sota Drone Pilot, will talk about the drones we own. Students will also get to watch the drones take off.
Conservation
Carolyn Remer, Centra Sota Conservation Agronomist, will share information about conservation and environmental careers.
Ziegler Equipment
Gain hands-on knowledge from Ziegler professionals and explore equipment they will have onsite. Specific equipment, TBD.
Arnold’s Equipment
Hear from the experts and view machinery. Specific equipment, TBD.
Dairy Farming
Annie Achen, a local dairy farmer, will share the ins and outs of dairy farming.
